The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is a national-level entrance examination conducted for students seeking admission to the IITs in India.
The exam is conducted in two mandatory papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, on the same day in two shifts. Both papers are held in CBT mode and include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics questions.
After qualifying, candidates can get admission into undergraduate engineering and science programs at IITs and also other institutes like IISc, IIST, IIPE, and RGIPT through their respective processes.
Last year, around 1,87,223 candidates registered for the exam, while only 18,188 seats were available across 23 IITs, showing the high competition level.
